Cooking Class on a Farm in Luxor

4 Hours

Overview

Join a farm family on Luxor’s West Bank and cook the way Upper Egypt cooks. We pick you up at your hotel in Luxor and start at the local souk, where you choose fresh seasonal vegetables and chicken or beef for the meal. Then we drive to the farm, where the farmer’s wife cooks with you in her kitchen.

You prepare dishes such as molokhia, tagine, roasted rice and fresh bread. She shows you how she seasons, when the rice is ready and how the dough for feteer is rolled out. There is no lecture, you cook. At the end you sit down together and eat what you made, and we drive you back to your hotel.

The class is private for 2 to 16 people and runs in English, French or German. It is easy to keep vegetarian, just tell us when you ask.
