Cairo, Fayoum, Luxor & the Red Sea — 10 Days

10 Days

Overview

This is the route for people who have read about Egypt and want the parts that are usually left out. Fayoum is ninety minutes from Cairo and almost nobody goes: a lake older than the pyramids, waterfalls in the desert, and a valley of fossil whales that walked on land forty million years ago.

Around it, the essentials done properly — Giza, Saqqara and Dahshur where you can watch the pyramid being invented across three reigns, Luxor on both banks with time to spare, and four days at the end on the Red Sea.

Ten days, one guide, and long enough that nothing has to be rushed.

Slower, or differently — always possible. Tell us how you like to travel and we will rebuild the day around it.
